Guérison progressive

Quand il les a vus, il a dit : "Allez vous montrer aux prêtres." Et comme ils partaient, ils étaient purifiés. -Luc 17:14

La guérison divine n'arrive pas toujours en un instant. La nature de certaines guérisons comme étant progressives est notée dans les mots, "comme ils allaient, ils étaient purifiés."  

Toutes les guérisons ne se produisent pas au moment de la prière. Des guérisons instantanées sont souvent attendues, mais cela illustre la guérison en cours sur une période de temps après la prière, et en obéissance au commandement de Jésus, "Allez ... vers les sacrificateurs". En obéissant, ils ont été guéris. Lorsque la guérison n'est pas instantanée, nous ne devons pas douter, mais trouver un chemin possible d'obéissance. 

Dans un autre cas de guérison retardée (Marc 8:22-25), Jésus oint et prie pour un aveugle deux fois avant que sa guérison ne soit parfaite. Aucune explication n'est donnée pour ce retard. Cependant, nous pourrions tirer de l'exemple que si la guérison n'a pas lieu immédiatement, il faut continuer à demander, à prier pour la foi et à se rapprocher du Seigneur. Au milieu de toute affliction physique à laquelle nous pouvons être confrontés, nous devons tirer les leçons de ces exemples en nous agenouillant dans la prière, en nous tenant debout dans la foi et en marchant dans l'obéissance. 

When he saw them, he said, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went, they were cleansed. -Luke 17:14

Divine healing does not always happen in an instant. The nature of some healing as progressive is noted in the words, “as they went, they were cleansed.”  

Not all healing is at the moment of prayer. Instant healings are often expected, but this illustrates the healing in process over a period of time following prayer, and in obedience to Jesus’ command, “Go … to the priests.” As they went in obedience, they were healed. When healing is not instantaneous, we should not doubt, but find a possible path of obedience. 

In another case of delayed healing (Mark 8:22–25), Jesus anoints and prays for a blind man twice before his healing is perfect. No explanation is given for the delay. However, we could draw from the example that if healing does not happen at once, keep asking, praying for faith, and drawing closer to the Lord. In the midst of whatever physical affliction we may face, we must learn from these examples by kneeling in prayer, standing in faith, and walking in obedience.
