Répondre par un chant d'amour

"L'Éternel, ton Dieu, au milieu de toi, le Puissant, te sauvera, il se réjouira de toi dans l'allégresse, il te tranquillisera par son amour, il se réjouira de toi en chantant." -Sophonie 3:17

Lorsque nous sommes conscients du grand amour de Dieu pour nous, nos cœurs réagissent dans l'adoration. Connaître et recevoir le don de son amour et de son acceptation produira en nous un débordement d'action de grâce envers lui. Lorsque nous réalisons que Dieu chante en fait un chant d'amour sur nous et qu'il le chante fort et avec exubérance, nos cœurs veulent lui répondre par un chant. Nous sommes étonnés qu'Il se réjouisse en nous. 

Les mots hébreux utilisés pour "réjouir" et "joie" véhiculent l'idée de virevolter avec une expression joyeuse sur le visage, ou d'un cheval bondissant dans la prairie avec un abandon complet. Le verbe hébreu sus signifie "se réjouir, être heureux, être très heureux". De ce verbe est dérivé sason, un substantif qui signifie "joie, réjouissance, allégresse". Il décrit une réjouissance qui est l'antithèse complète du deuil ; c'est une joie envahissante et irrésistible. 

Répondons à Lui aujourd'hui par un chant d'amour. Chantons et dansons devant Celui qui se délecte si complètement de nous. 

"The LORD your God in your midst, the Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.” -Zephaniah 3:17

When we are aware of God’s great love for us, our hearts respond in worship. To know and receive the gift of His love and acceptance will produce in us an overflow of thanksgiving to Him. When we realize that God actually sings a love song over us and that He sings it loudly and with exuberance, our hearts want to respond to Him with song. We are amazed that He delights in us. 

The Hebrew words used for “rejoice” and “joy” carry the idea of twirling about with a happy expression on the face, or of a leaping horse romping in the meadow with complete abandon. The Hebrew verb sus means “to rejoice, be glad, be greatly happy.” From this verb is derived sason, a noun meaning “joy, rejoicing, gladness.” It describes a rejoicing that is the complete antithesis of mourning; it is a pervasive, irresistible joy. 

Let us respond to Him today with a love song. Let us sing and dance before the One who delights in us so completely.
