La louange est belle

Louons l'Éternel ! Car il est bon de chanter les louanges de notre Dieu ; car il est agréable et la louange est belle. Psaume 147:1

La louange est belle ! Témoignez des paroles de l'ange en délivrant le message de salut de Dieu au monde : "Gloire à Dieu au plus haut des cieux, et sur la terre paix, bonne volonté envers les hommes !" (Luc 2:14). Entendez le témoignage des bergers dans l'Écriture : "Les bergers s'en retournèrent, glorifiant et louant Dieu pour tout ce qu'ils avaient entendu et vu" (v. 20). Ils ont entendu les anges, et ils ont vu Jésus ! Après la Pentecôte, les disciples "louaient Dieu" au milieu de la joyeuse naissance de l'église (Actes 2:47). Le boiteux a été guéri, et il "marchait, sautait et louait Dieu" (Actes 3:8). Mais, ce n'est pas tout ! 

Les Disciples louaient Dieu dans les moments de détresse. Paul et Silas ont été incarcérés dans une prison philippine. Ils ont été emmenés au tribunal, battus à plusieurs reprises, jetés dans la prison intérieure, les pieds dans des ceps, et ils louaient encore Dieu ! Notre louange ouvre les fenêtres de la bénédiction et réjouit notre Père qui est aux cieux. "Il est bon de chanter des louanges... c'est agréable, et les louanges sont belles. 

Praise the LORD! For it is good to sing praises to our God; For it is pleasant, and praise is beautiful. Psalm 147:1

Praise is beautiful! Witness the words of the angel when delivering God’s message of salvation to the world, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men!” (Luke 2:14). Hear Scripture’s testimony of the shepherds, “The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen” (v. 20). They heard the angels, and they saw Jesus! After Pentecost the disciples were “praising God” in the midst of the joyous birthing of the church (Acts 2:47). The lame man was healed, and he was “walking, leaping, and praising God” (Acts 3:8). But, that is not all! 

The Disciples praised God in times of distress. Paul and Silas were incarcerated in a Philippian jail. They were taken to court, beaten with many stripes, thrust into the inner prison, feet in stocks, and they were still praising God! Our praise opens the windows of blessing and delights our Father in heaven. “It is good to sing praises … it is pleasant, and praise is beautiful.”
