"Et cette bonne nouvelle du royaume sera prêchée dans le monde entier, en témoignage à toutes les nations, et alors la fin viendra." Matthieu 24:14

Jésus a décrit les "signes des temps" qui caractériseront cet âge alors qu'il gémit pour donner naissance à l'âge futur (Matthieu 24:3-14). La dernière "douleur de l'accouchement" est la prédication universelle de l'Evangile. Alors, la fin viendra !

Jusqu'à ce que la trompette sonne et que Jésus revienne pour inaugurer ce merveilleux âge à venir, il y a encore du travail à faire. Les nations ont toujours besoin du témoignage de l'Evangile. Le XXe siècle est le premier où l'Évangile de Jésus-Christ a été prêché dans le monde entier, y compris dans des pays fermés. Pourquoi donc le Seigneur n'est-il pas encore revenu ? Parce que la prédication de l'Évangile doit se traduire par un "témoignage à toutes les nations" (groupes ethniques) au sein de ces pays.

Où en sommes-nous ? Sur les vingt-quatre mille groupes ethniques distincts dans le monde, environ la moitié n'ont pas encore de "témoignage" continu en termes d'une église locale qui peut évangéliser le groupe. "Une église pour chaque groupe ethnique" est le but des paroles du Christ. Continuons à prier dans ce sens. Amen !

"And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come." Matthew 24:14

Jesus outlined the “signs of the times” that will characterize this age as it groans to give birth to the future age (Matt. 24:3–14). The final “labor pain” is the universal preaching of the gospel. Then the end will come!

Until the trumpet sounds and Jesus returns to usher in this wonderful coming age, there is still work to do. Nations remain in need of the witness of the gospel. The twentieth century is the first one in which the gospel of Jesus Christ has been preached in all the world, including closed countries. Why then has the Lord not yet come back? Because the preaching of the gospel must result in “a witness to all the nations” (ethnic groups) within these countries.

How are we doing? Of the twenty-four thousand distinct ethnic groups in the world, about half do not yet have ongoing “witness” in terms of a local church that can evangelize to the group. “A church for every people group” is the goal of Christ’s words. Let’s continue in prayer toward that end. Amen!
